Yellow

I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow

So then I took my turn
Oh all the things I've done
And it was all yellow

Do you know I love you so?
You know I love you so.

Miss me?

Dun worry. I miss you, too.
*hugs you back*

I apologize for my long silence.  Between school to random meetings with the iluvcebu.com team, bloggers, photographers, to catching up with old friends, meeting new ones and spending quality time with my family, plus the amount of time and work that I need whenever I post a blog entry (I'm so OC!), I’ve had no time to update my personal blog.

But, like it or not, I’m back in the saddle. Sorta! ;)

10 Things That Made Me Happy Over The Weekend

Sprinkle a sack of school stress, pour in a cup of lens-related worries and drain out 'ze source of energy, TADAAAA! A recipe of gloominess for moi. But in the midst of all these, I realized that the only way to be happy is to stay away from all the negativity. Besides, whining is a waste of oxygen. =P

In no particular order, here are 10 things that made me happy over the weekend.

She dances for all to see,
But the one thing they don’t notice -
She’s longing to be free.

A Landscape of Emotions - Master the Techniques of Portrait Photography

Portraiture and Color Management Seminar in Cebu

Last April 4, 2010, I attended a "Portraiture and Color Management Seminar" at Crown Regency, Cebu together with friends-slash-photo buddies, Nike Cagulada and Edd Buenaviaje. The event was a project of i-Mag Photography Magazine in cooperation with CANON Marketing Philippines.

The event was limited to 40 photographers, although I'm sure there were only 35 to 38 of those who signed up at i-Mag's forum who made it. Admission was free (erf is good, right?) inclusive of a model shoot, printing, snacks and a buffet lunch at Wang Shan Lo Chinese restaurant (GASP!).

The Mind is a Powerful Thing

"Cogito, ergo sum"
René Descartes

This phrase simply means that if you're in doubt of your existence, that is in and of itself proof that you exist.
But for me, this phrase takes on another meaning.

Cogito, ergo sum.
I think, therefore I am.

The mind is a powerful thing. They say that we're only using 10% of our mind, but in another source, that is just a myth. We are in fact using 100% of our brain.
So with that in mind, let me ask you something:
How well are you using your brain?

Photoshoot for a Cause (Verdict? SUCCESS!)

3 days ago, I published a blog post about the Photographers Club of Cebu's "Photo Shoot for a Cause".

Yesterday, I woke up at around 8 in the morning (late for the event, I know!) I had to get ready fast and be at the Family Park before 10. I really had no idea on who's going to be there or what's going to happen. All I know is that I had to be there. Fast.

Make Your Own Havaianas 2009 + Awit Sayaw 2009

Welcome to Make Your Havaianas 2009!
(This is such a late post, I know. I've been so busy with brains and the spinal cord lately. Harhar.)
So anyway, last August 14 to 17, 2009, MYOH 2009 invaded the Atrium of the North Wing, SM City, Cebu.
It was the most anticipated event for all flip-flops enthusiasts.
This year, MYOH gives tribute to the lifestyle of the Filipinos, with its catchline, "Put some local soul into your step!

Her Name Is Noelle

People at The Walk

The result of the People at The Walk Photo Contest is out!
I won!
Wooohoooo! :) Hahaha!
I am soooooo thrilled!
Taking photos is happiness in itself.
Winning and having your photos printed and displayed in a mall where hundreds of people hang out everyday is happiness times a hundred! Haha!

Hobby Convention 2009

For the first time, I witnessed a cosplay event at Parkmall, Mandaue City yesterday, June 20, 2009.

There were a number of people in costumes, including kids, as well as people from the media.

Pretty :)

It was definitely something new for me.
