I apologize for my long silence.  Between school to random meetings with the iluvcebu.com team, bloggers, photographers, to catching up with old friends, meeting new ones and spending quality time with my family, plus the amount of time and work that I need whenever I post a blog entry (I'm so OC!), I’ve had no time to update my personal blog.

But, like it or not, I’m back in the saddle. Sorta! ;)

TRON: Legacy, a follow up to the 1982 cult classic TRON, is still showing in the IMAX Theatre at SM City Cebu.

Yeap! You read it riiight!

TRON: Legacy, which opened during the Holiday season, is on its last two (2) weeks of showing (January 1 -18, 2011) prior to Green Hornet (another exciting movie this year, YESSS!).

Looking back

"English" and "Reading" were two of my favorite subjects. I went to school at St. Theresa's College where values are like gold and writing is like food. We were all required to say something through printed words (yes, even Math). We had reading logs, learning logs, book reports, and the like, every day. Yes, everyday. You can ask any Theresian and she'll probably say the same thing. STC is probably the sole reason for my love for words. To my English and Reading mentors, thank you.

On Blogging

I joined the blogging world 4 years ago. I had raves and rants on my Multiply page. I used to talk about the most random things: camera, Prison Break, photography, music. My personal blog became personal only 3 years ago when I talked about an issue that I was going through. Too much emotion + my love for words = blog.


Acquaintances to friends

I love joining events in the metro not just for photography's sake, but also because of the unlimited opportunities to meet different kinds of people. I love learning new things about and from people. 

Cebu Blog Camp 2010

I’m joining Cebu Blog Camp on May 22, 2010 at the CAP Art Center. I will be there with friends, people who love writing just as much as I do. The event will be a great opportunity for me to get to know other bloggers not just from Cebu, but also from other islands of the Philippines.

The Moon Tonight: Romancing Venus

We have had some amazing shows in the sky lately.

Not so long ago, we were able to witness the glorious sun and its halo. Tonight, however, it's the moon's turn to show its magnificence.

But drenched in vanilla twilight, I'll sit on the front porch all night.
Waist-deep in thought because when I think of you, I don't feel so alone.

The Moon: Romancing Venus

A beautiful drama plays out in the sky: the Moon and the planet Venus brightening into view through the twilight. They form the most striking duo in the night sky. The sky is just lovely tonight.

For some reason though, I could not get a decent shot of the moon. I need a decent tripod. A better glass, maybe? An awesome location? An inspiration? It's a romantic evening, after all. LOL.

Oh by the way, have you seen this spectacular sight?

I ran (and survived) my first 5K! (Rundaue 2010)

I can give you a number of excuses, er, reasons for my sedentary lifestyle. I'm a medical student. I (need to) study during my free time. I always feel the need to rest after (insert # here) grueling hours of reading and trying to understand a gazillion of things. I wake up, or try to anyway, early everyday. There's just no time to be physically active! It has been months (a year maybe?) since I've been to the gym. The only place where I feel "active" is at the mall --- I love window shopping! It's the next best thing to brisk walking.

So after a year of no-exercise and pigging-out almost every night, I realized that I need to get my butt off my seat and start to get fit. When Doyzkie texted me about this year's Rundaue, I said YES in a heartbeat.

Noelle Loves Cebu

I love Cebu for its positive development, the rich culture, the trips to fantastic beaches, the unexplored places, the good food (lechon, anyone?) and most of all, I love Cebu for having some of the most awesome and creative people that I know of.

The positive feedback that I've received from my family and friends were overwhelming.

Last October 1, 2009, a final list of the official entries for the 2009 Bloggers’ Choice Special Award  was released. If I haven't checked out Bryan Karl Yuson's entry, I wouldn't have known that my little space in the web is a part of that long line of nominees *insert giddiness here. I wouldn't lie and not say that I didn't sign up and grabbed that nifty "2009 Philippine Blog Awards Nominee" badge. Buhatin ang sariling bangko (which was what the others did, too, I guess. Haha!) Seriously though, I wasn't expecting anything when I registered. What's there to lose? But lo and behold

Photoshoot for a Cause (Verdict? SUCCESS!)

3 days ago, I published a blog post about the Photographers Club of Cebu's "Photo Shoot for a Cause".

Yesterday, I woke up at around 8 in the morning (late for the event, I know!) I had to get ready fast and be at the Family Park before 10. I really had no idea on who's going to be there or what's going to happen. All I know is that I had to be there. Fast.
